Skin Concern Guide
Dehydrated Skin
Dehydration is the single most underdiagnosed skin condition. It causes tightness, fine lines, dullness, and even oily-feeling skin (the body overcompensating). Unlike dry skin, dehydration is temporary. And very fixable.
What causes it
- Hot showers, over-cleansing, foaming sulfate cleansers
- Air conditioning, heating, low-humidity environments
- Caffeine and low water intake
- Skipping moisturiser because skin "feels oily"
- Aggressive exfoliation (more than 2-3x per week)
Our approach
Three steps: bring water IN with hyaluronic acid on damp skin, RETAIN it with ceramide-rich moisturiser, LOCK IT IN with consistent gentle care. Combined with one in-clinic hydration treatment, visible plumpness shows in hours, not weeks.
Recommended treatment
The Reset Facial
Our most-booked treatment for dehydrated skin. Deep cleanse, gentle resurfacing, hyaluronic acid infusion, calming LED, and barrier-restoring finish.

Barrier Repair Routine
For skin that has been over-exfoliated or feels tight, red or reactive
If your skin has been "burning" when you apply serums, feels tight after cleansing, or has developed reactivity to products it used to tolerate — the fix is not adding more actives. It's removing them, then rebuilding the barrier in the right order over 6 to 8 weeks.
Renewing Cleansing Cream
No sulfates. No acids. Preserves the lipid film your barrier needs to rebuild.
From $68Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture
Sodium PCA, olive leaf and hyaluronic acid rebuild the lipid layer directly. Use twice daily for 4–6 weeks before reintroducing any active.
From $132Correct & Protect Serum SPF 45
SPF 45 with hexylresorcinol for hyperpigmentation. Compromised barriers pigment faster — protection is non-optional.
From $118A note from Biana: Pause all retinols, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C and physical exfoliants for the first 4 weeks. Reintroduce gradually only after your therapist confirms the barrier has stabilised.
